A little bit about me.
This will be my seventeenth year teaching fifth grade at South Elementary School. I received my B.A. in Psychology from University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth and my Masters in Education from Bridgewater State College. I was raised in Somerset and went through the school system here.
My husband Joe and I have been married for twenty-eight years and have two beautiful daughters, Kayleigh is nineteen and Hope is eleven. Hope is in sixth grade at the Middle School. Kayleigh is planning to study biology to become a Physician Assistant. We also have two beautiful five year old puppies. They are both girls, one is Mattie and the other is Leia. They are litter sisters. To add to the zoo in our house we also have a Jack Chi (Jack Russell Terrier Chiihuahua) named Piff and Diamond a year and half old Siberian Husky that Kay rescued. I also currently have Kay's Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund) named Lasagna. She is two years old.
My daughter Hope started horseback lessons three years ago. I loved being at the barn and hugging all the horses. It is so peaceful there. I was a little jealous of Hope and began taking lessons a few years ago. Last February we added to our family. We bought a 10 year old Palomino Morgan named Cleo. She lives at the barn that we ride at.
In my classroom we are "Ohana". We work together and help each other out. It is important to respect each other. When students enter my classroom they become part of my family and that is for life. I am always available for my students or their family whenever needed.
If you need to speak to me you can send a message into school and I will call you or email me at : [email protected]
